CVS is created to support and optimize the change, release and Configuration Management processes by optimizing and streamlining the package process. The build phase will be reduced, impact on business will be less and documentation is created on the fly.

Thinstall integration
Thinstall can now be used as the Virtualization engine in CVS. The integration has been made with respect to best practices. Combined with the CVS methodology it brings Thinstall in to the enterprise making virtualization available for super users. Features like build, configure and test the package created are easy to use and fully integrate able with the existing change process. The application supports both Altiris and Thinstall.
Archive Template
When a super user launched the Virtualization wizard it is possible to launch in build mode with package properties predefined.
Filtering
When using Customize, Upgrade, Test and renaming it is possible to apply a filter so that only packages created by the current user are displayed.
Windows Vista
Windows Vista is now supported when using CVS 2.1.
Altiris SVS
Altiris SVS has been released in version 2.1. We now support both v2.0 and v2.1
